I never got the MacOs export extension back in the day, and game maker 8 is no longer supported by yoyo games. The .gmk files are included with this download. I believe they can be opened by the Mac version of Game maker 8 if you can find one somewhere online... then they could be exported for Mac, or just played in the editor. Id do that, but I don't have a Mac.
